Message from the Health Alliance for the Uninsured

As a long-time partner who shares in our mission to create a more equitable health care system, I’m excited to share an opportunity with you to support clinicians that are looking to advance their clinical credentials.

As part of UnitedHealth Group’s efforts to advance health equity, the United Health Foundation recently committed $100 million over ten years to help grow a more diverse clinical workforce – with funding to support scholarships and support services for 10,000 underrepresented current and future clinical professionals.

We are excited to share that our new scholarship for current clinicians is now accepting applications.  This one-year, $3,200 scholarship will support clinicians who are seeking additional clinical certifications or degrees – as either full-time or part-time students – starting in January 2023.   More information about the scholarship, and the application is available at this link:

We encourage you to share this scholarship opportunity with your colleagues and networks. Scholarship applications for early 2023 studies are due on October 31st.  We will announce additional scholarship opportunities, for both current as well as future clinical professionals, early next year.

Thank you for your partnership in improving the health of communities and advancing health equity. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
