Spring Break Program 2023 Spring Break March 13-17, 2023 – We’re Exploring OKC through the eyes of Energetic Engineers as we discover the engineering process. Limited space ENROLL NOW. Strong Neighborhoods Initiative (SNI) The Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City, in partnership with the City of Oklahoma City, will provide high-quality afterschool and summer programming to students utilizing specific SNI Out-of-School Time Program Priorities. The Programs will be available to Thelma Parks Elementary students (grades 1-4), families, and the community in the school year 2022-2023. Parent Resource Center The Parent Resource Center empowers parents to be successful agents and advocates of excellent schools, educates them about school choices, and equips them with skills to become leaders in their child’s school. Ultimately, the goal is to increase student achievement through a more informed community and active parent base. Community Hope Center The Community Hope Center (Contract #60004) is a DHS licensed program for families receiving DHS subsidy payments to assist students in Kindergarten through 6th grade learning remotely and enrolled in a hybrid schedule. Program hours are Monday through Friday, 12 noon – 5:30 pm. 2022 School Age - After School Tutoring The School Age After School Tutoring program (Contract #28437) operates as a 4 star DHS licensed facility. The program offers an academically enriched learning environment where students from Kindergarten through 6th grade can feel safe, welcomed, and comfortable to network with their peers. Out-of-School operating hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Adopt A Family The Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City, Inc. has a long-standing history of developing and implementing programs that engage and empower the community and the Christmas season is no exception. For nearly two decades, we have adopted families, of all sizes, where a true need has presented itself and relieved the awesome seasonal burden.
