Oklahoma City, OK (Decemeber 2, 2024) – The Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City announced it will host free digital skills training December 10 and 12. The classes are intended for learners that are new to using a computer and want to build confidence while staying safe online. Topics include: using web browsers, creating passwords that are hard to guess, using search engines, navigating a mobile device and so much more. Workshops will be taught by digital literacy experts with the national nonprofit Connected Nation (CN).

“The Urban League’s mission is to assist African Americans, other minorities and the poor to achieve social and economic equality,” said Shani Nealy, Sr. VP of Administration. “Empowering a wide range of community members with essential digital skills is vital in today’s digital landscape. We encourage adults from all backgrounds and ages to seize these opportunities to acquire new digital skills or enhance existing ones.”

Registration is required to attend; participants are encouraged to bring their friends and family. Bilingual trainers will be on site. See below for workshop dates and times:

The Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City, Inc. is partnering with Connected Nation (CN), a national nonprofit committed to bridging the Digital Divide, to host digital skills training.
