To our Valued Stakeholders and Community Members,

The world is grappling with an issue of enormous scale and human impact. Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

There is no higher priority to the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City than the safety of our stakeholders, partners, community members, and our employees. Shortly after the COVID-19 outbreak began, Urban League started to prepare and implement program services and contingency plans aimed at keeping our community, those who are vulnerable, and the healthcare providers who are on the front lines of this pandemic out of harm’s way.

Urban League is engaged in active and ongoing monitoring of disease progression, and prevention and containment measures, and is adhering to requirements and recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), as well as government agencies on a national, state, and local level.

While pandemics are unpredictable in their timing and severity, there are several precautionary measures we have taken to instill confidence in your engagement with the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City during these unprecedented times.

  • Our program activities will be limited to telephone and electronic assistance. Clients can still call 405-424-5243, ext. 164 to leave a message for the receptionist to return their call.

  • Our staff has worked virtually from home since March 13, 2020, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future

  • Staff will continually check our voicemails and emails and conduct teleconference meetings.
